It All Started With A Simple Request

My journey into furniture making started with a simple request from my wife. She wanted custom side tables for our bedroom, but the ones we found were priced at $1,000 each. I knew I could create something even better, something that perfectly fit our space. So, with some basic tools from Lowe’s, I built the tables right on our front porch. When she saw them, she loved them—and that’s when I realized how much I loved the process of creating something with my own hands.

From there, I made a coffee table, and then a set of barn doors, and it became clear that after a decade as an attorney, I had found something that truly excited me. That's how Hunter & Logan was born—built on a passion for creating custom, handmade furniture that brings beauty and warmth into people’s homes.

Every piece of furniture I make is crafted by hand, from the first cut to the final detail. And when it comes to finishing, we don’t just use any product off the shelf. Each table is hand-rubbed with a non-toxic finish that’s free from harmful chemicals like VOCs. These finishes not only protect the wood but also ensure that your home stays healthy—no fumes, no toxins, and no worries about what might happen if food falls on the table or if your kids touch it.

My dedication to non-toxic, eco-friendly materials began in my garage, where I first started building. With my kids often walking through, I couldn’t risk exposing them to harmful fumes. That’s why I switched early on to finishes that are safe to apply and live with. These products offer lasting protection without compromising on safety, meaning you can enjoy a beautiful piece of furniture that’s built to last generations without worrying about what's in your home.

At Hunter & Logan, we don’t use MDF or plywood—just solid wood that’s carefully selected for its beauty and durability. I’m committed to crafting furniture that’s not only beautiful but also built to withstand the test of time, so you never have to worry about water damage, warping, or substandard materials. Every piece is a reflection of the care and craftsmanship that goes into it, designed to bring your family together around something that’s made by hand, with heart.

'Ultimately, your home should reflect your personality, interests, and lifestyle. Infuse your space with personal touches and meaningful objects that tell your story and evoke fond memories. Your home should be a reflection of who you are and what you love.'
